Forums - Nintendo - Does the new Nintendo 2DS interest you at all?

I dont think its aimed at us. That is a kids toy. Its aimed at very very young gamers. I would say 4-5 to 6-8 years old.

I personally find it an abomination. Also good luck Nintendo, marketing the 2DS name with the DS and 3DS. Thats not gonna be confusing for parent at all...

I wouldnt be surprised if DS and Wii get discontinued next year, clearing up any confusion. It will just be 2DS and 3DS which shouldnt be too difficult to explain to customers.

Why didn't they just make it (1) screen instead of keeping that plastic seperation? They could have still easily had (2) screens.

OT: No, it does not interest me at all. I already have a 3DS and a 3DSXL.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

nope, i wish it would die so this stupid shit doesnt happen again. though we know it will.

It's not for you, and it's not for anyone in this thread that said "no".

Clearly some "hardcore gamers" think the world revolves around them.

The new term for them is immature gamers.

Thing is it does make a lot of sense to me to make it a cheaper option without the 3D (which still causes controversy). That being said, the design is questionable even though some early reviews have said it is comfortable. I think Nintendo have missed a golden opportunity here personally. If only they stuck with the clam design!!

That said, looks like aimed for kids which I know for a fact I would've thought it looks cool (even though it' looks gimmiky). Moreover, taking off the 3D might prove a huge factor for parents whom many were conecerned with buying it for their kids.

i'm going to get my sister to buy it for me when she goes to america. It is so cheap and i am curious how it feels on the hand. Like many people have said - it is not aimed for forum dwellers

why America, its only $150 here in Aus. thats insanely cheap... and its not even boxing day =)

It's cheaper!!! :D - yes

Not interested as I own an xl but Im happy about the lack of 3d...all we need now is a tablet free wii u and my faith in nintendo may return.

Since I already own a 3DS I don't care. Still if I had to choose right now I would consider it since it's cheaper and more confortable to hold (according to IGN Italy), I don't use the 3D effect very often and I mostly play it at home.
