Media Create Hardware numbers are in, here is the breakdown:

Wii  94,473

PSP  72,528

DS Lite  67,472

PS3  41,796

PS2  12,115

XBOX 360  6,060

What is up with these numbers.  Brawl moves barely 10k more units than the week before on the Wii, and the same situation on the PS3.  How is that?  And the PSP outsells the DS?  No new color was released, was new software released for the system?  Questions? Comments?  Discuss the craziness!

Good trend for PSP.
Looks like new games making psp more attractive. =)

42k for ps3, after DMC4? Hmm.. atleast it didn`t go less then 30k this year. =)
160k ps3 WW on the regular week, not bad. =)

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

I just don't know to who trust anymore,Famitsu or MC,both of them looks hard to believe about the last week,even so,I'm with VGC,wonder if ioi actually supports or move apart from their numbers.

Wow Brawl didn't push Wii at all haha. Well it did but not that much. Guess its too much for the hardcore fanbase to do that.

My guess is that Nintendo is low on Hardware, so Wii and DS figures are low, Nintendo probably overshipped for the holidays and then sent a lot of post holiday stuff to the states and europe (remeber sea transit takes a few weeks) and now has too little to put on shelves in japan



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Awesome stuff for the PSP. Perhaps the DS is so aturated in Japan people needed a new system, j/k. I really hope PSP continues to own (j/k again), but I'm disappointed with PS3 numbers. Look at the PS2, the little fighter, still chuggin along...... :)
