Both visually and mechanically, Rayman Legends consistently sparks the imagination. The co-op play on the Wii U is something that really must be experienced, and while the implementation isn't a perfect fit on other platforms, it does little to hold the game back. While we certainly wouldn't advocate carbon copies, we hope Rayman Legends paints a vision for other 2D games to follow.

It's no surprise that it would play best on Wii U, as it began as an exclusive.

I hope Wii U owners aren't too burned by the delay to support this.

I hope so too, WiiU really needs some more support, it will get a few great third party games, hopefully they sell so the support continues in the future.

Would have bought it in February. Now there are too many first-party Nintendo games and GTA V I've still to buy , I don't think I'll have the budget for this one until some time 2014 :(

(This is not me still being angry over the delay btw, just too many games with a higher priority than Rayman)

Even if you had both the time and money to get Rayman Legends, you still shouldn't get it at launch. This is classic bargain bin material; there's no reason to assume that this game will sell, so it will drop in price quickly. Don't repeat the mistake I made with Origins.

I agree. Picked up Origins for the Wii for a mere £11 just 2 months after release.

If this attitude was applied to every game then they all would end up on sale after 2 months. So spread the word lol.

I thought you were usually for supporting Wii U games by buying early and new?

So review score between the 3 platforms seem about the same, thats good to see.

Metacritic scores of the same game over multiple consoles is a terrible measurement; the technically superior version of a game can easily score lower just by having more reviews. If you look at practically identical PS3/360 multiplats, score can vary for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the respective versions.

Fair enough makes sense, I didnt enjoy the first one very much (due to not liking platformers much) very quicky game though.

I do lol.

But think about it, if we all thought liek that for every game (even GTA V) it woudl drop in price real quick.

I support this message! But a lot of games already drop in price fairly quickly, at least in my country.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I got Rayman Origins on Wii within release week for 50% off. That said, I still preorderd Rayman Legends because I think there is enough content to justify the price and it's not that much. You can already preorder the game for less than 40€.

On wowhd the Wii U version is actually the cheapest^^

Even though I was salty about the delay, the game was tailored for the U so I feel obliged to send this message out. Doesn't hurt that the game seems to turn out awesome anyway.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
