Not that its bad, just that its random. And likely on par with 101 (or at least not much better)

Also there are plenty of objectively bad games like Dynasty warriors which they just lap up. I don't understand.

Of course are different. These games sell 50k, and almost never sell 100k (a few exceptions already mentioned).

Mainstream jRPG are Tales of and Kingdom Hearts nowadays. In the past, the market was flooded. Examples are Star Ocean, Brave of Fire, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Valkyria Chronicles, White Knight Chronicles, Vagrant Story, Blue Dragon, The Last Remnant... 

All these games sell in a different market, it's not the otaku crowd, and of course sell more (at least +200k)

A lot of this IP are dead now being DQ, FF and a few strong others the only survivors. And now it seems the only jRPG are the otaku/niche.

That week was Obon, however. So, it can't be used as the standard as everything increased. And with the PS3 releasing at the same time, I expect this to be another Dragon's Crown deal, only half as big.

So sad to see Wonderful101 potentially selling around 5k on it's first week. That 30k shipment rumour was probably sure cause at this point, who knows if they will even sell through that shipment. I am confident though that the west will save it (Probably is going to sell 400-500k LDT).

Lost Planet 3 will be this year's flop. Don't delude yourself, look at what Capcom thinks it will sell (1M+).

While 101 will be a flop in Japan, you're being ludicrous with just using Japan as a flop-o-meter. We can't judge sales until September 15th.

I hate being right about W101. I really wanted it to succeed. Ohwell.
