after watching IGNs preview i was very dissapointed but maybe it will work better in the final build

The second video has the Kinect aiming at the ground. Either way, if you follow the video that Nsanity has posted in another thread and just above me, it will totally prove how good it can be.

I do hope they add voice prompts, seems like it needs that.

I was hoping that you could have it runn a training program where it could "learn"/record a few of your favorite phrases and then your imagewould really freak people out.

Too bad that developing a game for the Kinect would probably be expensive and timme consuming, i think we are on to something.

I wonder if the process is very dependent on the quality and amount of light in the room. The second one is the worst and it looks pretty dark there. All cameras have a harder time resolving detail in poor light when compared with when a scene/subject is adequately lit.

You do realize you can get trained by Microsoft for free?  They give all sort of DX stuff away, and rather sure one can just kinect their Xbox 360 Kinect to their PC if that have the extra power supply thing.  The Kinect has a bunch of tools in it, not that bad, helps if you know C or a form of it.
