I know I'll get some flack for this, but it's nice to have an American playing an American created superhero again. I also realize that many of them are actually citizens now, but it just seems to be exaggerated how few of these actors were born American. Previously in the Batman series alone, we had Batman, Alfred, Scarecrow, Bane (he should have been played by someone of South American descent), Ra Al Ghul, Miranda, Falcone, Jim Gordan, and the Joker, all played by foreign actors, as well as the director.

Not to mention we have Superman, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Thor, Punisher, Mr. Fantastic plus Magneto (old and young), Professor X (old and young), and that is not even getting into some of the more minor heroes throughout superhero films much less the villians.

Don't get me wrong they are for the most part talented actors, bleh on Andrew Garfield, but then you got a franchise like Harry Potter and they actually had to research every actors past to make sure they were of full English ancestry, God forbid one of the 8 movies has an American in it, but that won't stop them from peddling it to us.

okay, okay... out of all of these I'm highlighting two. (Alfred and Thor).

I always thought Alfred was MEANT to be English? And Thor... is from Scandinavian mythology so has no reason to be American.

As for Affleck, I think he can pull off Bruce Wayne. Will reserve judgement on his Batface until I see him :3

I just felt like quoting a rare trashleg post, for no reason. lol

No need to wait, here is his best expression, just draw a batsuit on him and you can judge now!

People where cynical about Heath Ledger as Joker and people where cynical about Daniel Craig as James Bond. Both turned out fantastic, who know maybe Affleck will as well, he was awesome in "The Town"

Just calm down everybody you can´t change it anyway, its not a Microsoft production.

DANIEL CRAIG??? I still think he'd be perfect as a KGB agent, but terrible as James Bond!!! The movies are quite good overall, but sometimes he makes me miss even Timothy Dalton.

And it looks like I'm not the only one...  https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=daniel+craig+terrible+bond

Anyway, most Bond movies are almost perfect machines and they can still be good even with a bad Bond. BTW the worst ever Bond after Craig, George Lazenby, was paired with probably the best Bond-girl ever, one of the sexiest and surely the most intelligent and classy, Diana Rigg.

Batman has also taught Clark some fighting techniques and how to "be scary" before, too. Supes is the big blue boyscout. Criminals know he won't kill (after Zod). Batman doesn't kill either but criminals are scared shitless of him.

There are things far worse than death... and Batman makes sure criminals know them.

This reminds me that internet people are pathetic. But this is just a really small vocal minority. People are happy with Craig as Bond the boxffice prooves that.

Still we have to accept Affleck as Batman. WB probably wants him to direct the JLA movie or maybe the next Batman Movie so who knows.

People are happy with so many crappy things...

People don't even understand that putting Superman in Batman comics and movies is just a marketing trick to resurrect a lame franchise with a strong one, just like many people are  just too young to know or they don't remember the original Transformers were crappy stuff roughly put together just to sell toys.

So most people won't care, and for those that care, Ben Assfleck could be the smallest problem.

It could be good, it could be terrible. Although looking at the list of other candidates for the job of Batman, its tough to think they made the right choice. I guess time will tell.

Even if he were decent (unlikely), his perennial hangdog expression would be detrimental to the character, not to mention that when masked he'd just expose his eyes and his arse-chin, making him look even more like Kenny in his South Park parody.

Let me show the concept.

I don't get what is bad about that, he seems very suitable. For one he has the most fitting physique out of all the other batman actors so far.
