I know I'll get some flack for this, but it's nice to have an American playing an American created superhero again. I also realize that many of them are actually citizens now, but it just seems to be exaggerated how few of these actors were born American. Previously in the Batman series alone, we had Batman, Alfred, Scarecrow, Bane (he should have been played by someone of South American descent), Ra Al Ghul, Miranda, Falcone, Jim Gordan, and the Joker, all played by foreign actors, as well as the director.

Not to mention we have Superman, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Thor, Punisher, Mr. Fantastic plus Magneto (old and young), Professor X (old and young), and that is not even getting into some of the more minor heroes throughout superhero films much less the villians.

Don't get me wrong they are for the most part talented actors, bleh on Andrew Garfield, but then you got a franchise like Harry Potter and they actually had to research every actors past to make sure they were of full English ancestry, God forbid one of the 8 movies has an American in it, but that won't stop them from peddling it to us.

okay, okay... out of all of these I'm highlighting two. (Alfred and Thor).

I always thought Alfred was MEANT to be English? And Thor... is from Scandinavian mythology so has no reason to be American.

As for Affleck, I think he can pull off Bruce Wayne. Will reserve judgement on his Batface until I see him :3

I just felt like quoting a rare trashleg post, for no reason. lol
