Forums - Nintendo - Pikmin 3 in US, How Did It Do? (FW 115k+)

When Will Pikmin 3 be a Million Seller?

During Holiday 44 30.14%

Early 2014 34 23.29%

Summer 2014 14 9.59%

Holiday 2014 22 15.07%

2015 9 6.16%

Never? 23 15.75%

Total:146

If the numbers are true, then Pikmin did pretty well, hardware sales didn't sky rocket or anything, but I didn't expect much with that anyway.

I am really happy with those numbers. I think if there was a larger stock available of Wii U's in America then maybe the sales would be a bit higher as well. Some companies are still trying to order more when their initial stock of Wii U's sold out.

I was actually expecting to see some Luigi dream team sales as well.

it cam out the following sunday though O.o

I thought there would still be a day or so tracked. I guess it was last Sunday. Wow. You have it?

yes both games, and i will get NSLU tis Sunday

I expect it'll eventually be a million seller, but I kind of doubt it will be this year. Too many other games coming out to overshadow it.

It's a good game. Still needs fuckin' swarming though.............

I was at walmart today and Pikmin and Lego City were both sold out and the Basic Wii U was sold out as well with only 2 Deluxe.

I'd wait for actual NPD numbers.

You would. :P

@ Tbone

I want Code of princess for 19.99 and an eshop game this week.

I'm pretty sure VGC overtracked LEGO City and it's corresponding Wii U hardware bump, so I want to see actual data from NPD this time.

If these numbers are true, Pikmin 3 should have little problem doing 150k+ for the month and we should get PR from Nintendo on it.

with more reasons to pick up a WiiU more people will get this game

it will probably be slow to reach the 1M though but lifetime I expect at least 1.5m

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I would be happy with anything over 150 thousand. Anything below that would make me kind of mad. It was never going to be a huge seller, but I still want it to do well.

I am also sick of this digital blackout. I want to know the sales!!! Do not see any reason why we cannot find this out.

Didn't you make a thread once ( tbone) showing how many were on a certain games miiverse or something and we guessed the digital sales from that?

i only kno from 3ds eShop in US. Anything that sells more than Fire Emblem is guaranteed 90k+

I predict holiday 2014 to hit the million mark, and 1.3m lifetime.

Lego salas are OK on VGC. Only hardware on that week was overtracked
