Forums - Sales - Global HW UP! EU and USA SW UP! 10th August 2013

With expectations like that it would hard to be disappointed. I definitely want better for the genre.

As do I. However, what I want and what I've come to expect are two very different things.  I would love for JRPGs to be dominate genre world wide selling 5mil+ regularly, but expecting that is just dooming myself to disappointment after disappointment.  100K+ FW for "Ni No Kuni" and now this means I will likely keep getting JRPGs localized to North America.  The alternative is a very real possibility for fans for Japanese games.

Pikmin 3, Tales of Xillia and Dragons Crown :D :D :D

I bet you Vita HW in the USA didn't really get boosted 70% this week. Although it may well get clouded by the price cut once NPD hits.

I also bet Xillia didn't open to those numbers; because I can't remember the last JRPG we didn't overtrack in NA.

Pikmin, can't really tell to be honest.

Yes, I'm being grumpy :P

P.S. First time in a while that Vita has been lower in Europe than NA.

Do we have FW's for Symphonia, Legendia and Abyss?

Wii U is inching toward respectability. Pikmin 3 has had a nice impact worldwide, and sold quite decent.

Does the Pikmin 3 sales include digital sales?

Pikmin 3 did well in the states. But interesting was ZombiU`s return to the charts. It seems people are finding reasons to own a Wii U.

Pretty good for Pikmin. HW increase of about 50% as well is acceptable.

I won't say anything about Xillia or Dragons Crown until NPD though.

What would you say if numbers were true?

Then I think it'd be damn good. Because, well, those figures are great for something like this.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Xillia with lower FW sales than preorders... yup.

VGC is known to be very bad with their pre-order numbers.

Great for Tales Of Xillia and still on fire for PS3.
