Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Did they even announce any new games? Also, where is quantum break?

I wouldn't expect anymore announcements until TGS.

X1's 2014 is pretty packed already so not sure what else they could show!

They could have shown some of the 20 or so exclusive 1st party titles they say they have set for release within the next 12-16 months. I believe (8) or so of them are supposedly new IP too. Would have been nice to know what is on the horizon from their 1st party that wasn't the expected Halo, Fable and Forza you know?

With all the bad press they have been getting lately you would have thought they would have come out guns blazin and display their new 1st party prowess.

TGS is next month right?

Sony is 20, X1 is 15+

2014 we have

Titanfall
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare
Kinect Sports Rivals
Below
D4
Quantum Break
Sunset Overdrive
Black Tusk's Stealth game
Halo
Fable Legends
Minecraft X1
Project Spark

I'm sure they'll announce some new stuff at E3 next year for the rest of 2014 but it's already a solid line up.

That and TGS will likely see Microsoft Osaka's game and that rumoured Platinum exclusive along with whatever else they've bought up.

Has to be my taste in games then. To me the list is severely lacking in japanese style gaming (With the exception of D4).

I hope we see the MS Osaka title. I pray it's a JRPG!

More exclusive games would have been preferable instead of removing content from Sony, PC and Nintendo platform owners' games. This will only create animosity if they make a habit out of it. Who do IW think they're fooling by saying dedicated servers are made possible because of the cloud? PC gamers are laughing.

I think they are saying that MS are hosting (paying) for all those cloud servers for the game. I mean before it was Activision's excuse that there are too many people playing COD MP to maintain enough dedicated servers. If MS is taking care of that then Activision can just implement it into their game.

Now I think this is pretty massive. Does this mean that the PS4 version won't have dedicated server support and will be P2P? That to me sounds crazy and could be a very good reason for people top get the Xbox One version.

too early IMO.... august is a pretty dead zone for news globaly so for VG news it's like vaccum space..... gamers don't realize most customer don't give a rats ass about E3 and gamescom and conferences and news on VG.... they see commercial on TV go on IGN once in while when they shop for games and go to gamestop betbuy or wallmart..... end of septembre october is the sweet spot for big news.... that's when kids will al be back at school and people and kids will already start thinking about christmas and what's hot this time arround..... right now it's just bones they are throwing to us dogs....

They already did show most of them. Also this was a press briefing. All the game stuff will be posted later after people get their hands on with them and get their interviews.

I thought this was your typical conference where you make all your big game announcements.

I hope you are right though and more stuff trickles out from here on out.

so no release date? I thought Gamescom would be the perfect time to announce it...will be any other smaller gaming convention(like some comci-con event) because it will be really odd to announce at TGS as it looks like Japan won't even get it this holiday season..

It would be bad marketing.

Sony in just a few hours will be announcing a much sooner release. If Microsoft stays quiet then the PS4 launch announcement is just a date, not Sony one upping Microsoft again. In a week or two Microsoft can announce their launch dates.
