I'm not defending X1 here, don't take me wrong. X1 was more like a new concept than PS4, but given the people reactions they obviously got it wrong. Same thing applies to WiiU.

That's kind of how Sony works. From PS1 to PS2 to PS3 to PS4, or PSP to PSV--Sony just throws more power at their consoles and watches what the competition is doing. When something works for the competition, Sony adds it to their repertoire. Sony is like a kid at school that copies off of your paper and somehow still scores higher than you on the test.

And he said he was sad about this. But it's true, the ps4 is a more powerful ps3 with a whole new gameplay accessibility due to the controller, FirstParty games and strong Third Party Support, and in front of all that a smaller price. So the guy is right.

Or Sony just outsmarted the competition by making a cheaper yet powerful console, hence why they called out MS because they had developed their console faster and knew MS would follow any movement they made. I think that one works too. 

Can you list what Sony copied from the others?

I meant conservative in pushing new concepts, not specs. As far as hardware, I completely agree. That also makes me sad, I would love to see WiiU on par with the others.

Well, yeah, I could.  I just don't feel like this.  Sure, I would point out something but then you'd find a caveman drawing of something else and say that Sony didn't react to the competition.  I wasn't going to mention the Wii Remote or or the SNES controller layout but what's the point?  You're one of those guys that feel that Sony can do no wrong.  If I said Trophies were a direct response to Achievements or something, you'd say that was Sony's plan all along.  Not in the mood.  Maybe another day.

So the guy is questioned about the delay and on his own decides to just bring the PS4 into it and bash it?

That reeks of desperation, not to mention total arrogance.


He is just a hater that the "stronger PS3" is going to be releasing there and not his precious "only 8th gen console".
