Just a generalization. What does increase in sales, I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. Like Pikmin 3. Sales increased 10,000 for two weeks. Wii U already had one version selling at $300, so a $50 price drop down to $300 of the deluxe version with a digital version of an HD rerelease isn't going to move too many systems. The PS3 and 360 are still out there, and they're still $200, so who's really going to buy the Wii U other than Nintendo fans? If they already own a PS360, they would probably hold out for the PS4/Xbox One. PS4 is only $100 more for actual next gen. |
Well u said PS4 needs to sell 4 million this year in order to outsell total Wii U numbers. Wii U is at 3.5million so u think it will do 500k maximum in the final 4 months of the year. It sold 500k in the last 4 months with Pikmin 3 as the only big exclusive. The next 4 months have a $50 price cut, new bundle, and games like 3D Mario, DKC, Sonic, Wind Waker HD, Wii Party, Wii Fit, M&S Olympics which are all bigger series than Pikmin plus the added benefit of the holidays coming up which always boosts hardware. So based off that 500k from now til the end of the year is a rediculous prediction.
Vita was able to sell I think 1.8 million in the last 4 months of 2012 and Wii U has alot more going for it this holiday than Vita did last year so id say Wii U will be over 6 million by the end of the year.
