Forums - Sony - Guerilla needs to show off Killzone Shadow Falls Multiplayer changes at Gamescom.

Any game that's allows people to be invisible while sniping with no counter I can't take serious. Invisibility is the worst thing to happen to FPSs. At least Halo 4 has a counter (promethian vision) but I still think its broken. Invisibilty ruins every match. That stupid cloak perk where you look like the enemy team is almost as bad. I dont think GG has any idea how to balance games.

And yes I hate Crysis mp because of invisibilty. I play the barebones mp in Crysis.

Guerilla are actually pretty bad at level design and balance, they probably shouldn't show it off.

oh man, thats my favorite map its awesome. Jet Packs and Mechs!!!

Killzone 3 has by far my favorite FPS multiplayer ever its just so perfecty designed.

If shadow falls multi is anything like KZ3 then it will be great.

i just hope it will have move support, because thats the only way i plaed Killzone 3 and was the reason i was so good at its multiplayer.

Killzone : Shadow Fall is going to be epic. I loved Killzone 2 & 3's multiplayer, so there's no reason why Shadow Fall should dissapoint. God... Those mech vs jetpack battles were the buisness back with Killzone 3. I hope they can fit those, some more Operations, a revamped Warzone, and mabye even some Co-Op type modes. That would be awesome.

I wonder what's up with all the naysayers on here. Killzone is hailed by reviewers and many gamers as one of the definitive MP experiences this past gen. The only reason why it wasn't noticed by the masses is the fact that CoD and BF offer a much simple and casual experience that everyone and their grandma flocked to. Being a launch title, and with a good ammount of hype behind it, Shadow Fall should finally fully establish the franchise.

@DialgaMarine
Battlefield is a much simpler and more casual experience than Killzone? SMH

Oh i miss those hourly long matches in killzone 2 those were just epic.

Hourly? How is that possible in an online shooter? That sounds incredible.

Killzone 2 had 4 modes.
Body Count (Team Deathmatch)
Search and Destroy (One team protects two charge points, the other team tries to destroy them)
Assassination (Defend a target on your team, or kill a target on the enemy's)
Search and Retrieve (Grab backages, deliver them to a certain point)

It also had the unique set-up where a person can create a room that allowed you to play all 4 modes. You can also adjust the time for up to a full 30 minutes each. Also, if you were including a mode like Search and Destroy, you would play two rounds of that. In one, youre team would be defending, in the other your time is on the offense.

I've had games of Killzone 2 that went the full 3 hours and 32 minutes (giving a few minutes for the time in between rounds).

1 Body Count (30 minutes, no team hit the 200 count, the highest wins)
2 Search search and Destroys (1 Hour, no team set both charges and got the time needed for detonation, or they got it at the very last second)
2 Assassinations (1 hour, Both teams protected the targetted team mate for the full 30minutes)
2 Search and Retrieve (1 hour, No team could get all of the packages in time)

It was glorious. My brother, a friend and I played the hell out of that game.

EDIT: Actually, i think i might be remembering incorrectly. Now that I think back, Search and Retrieve was more like Body count. Each team was gunning for the same backages. You would only play 1 round of it. So I've played games that were a full 3 Hours, not 3.5.

Guerilla games simply can't do good gameplay. Without gameplay, you can't have good mp. So far there is nothing to suggest that KZSF will be anything but mediocre.

WTF? Whatever you say bro. If you want a realistic sci-fi shooter Killzone is the definitive franchise.

Yet another bit of testamony as to the amazing accuracy of the Move peripheral. If only Sony would've made games for the Move rather than for other established names.

Assuming those matches had enough people and the fighting was fierce, then it must have been glorious.

I love long and hard battles. Sometimes on Operation Metro in BF3 the battles can be over 30 minutes. I love that, it's so epic.

1 hour is even better.

There is a game that already has 64 players and destructive environments. It also has the weighty feel that Killzone players love but runs at 60fps. It also competes with Killzone in the graphics dept. Its called BF4. I dont see how Killzone can compete with it.

Modern shooters have been boring since mw2.
