So my first PS3 was the slim PS3 and I think I take good care of my consoles, they stay in a TV stand so the least amount of dust gets on/in them.  Now somehow my PS3 lense crapped out, this is the first time I've ever had a lense problem on any of my consoles so I started thinking are blu ray lense just more fragile?  The problem with the PS3 lense is a well known problem and I think is probably more prevalent than the YLOD.  I can say I have never heard of the 360 having any lense problems.  So what do you guys think are blu ray lense just more fragile, or was there just something about the PS3 lense in particular.  

Well I buy a lot of JRPGs on the PS3 so a long time, but I also play online with my friends on 360 so a long time on that too.

You played through Uncharted 2 recently didn't you?

Well my lense crapped out like a year or so ago, don't remember if I played Uncharted 2 anywhere near that time, why?

Every game will be installed on disk so... don't worry ;) And you can still go fully digital of course.

Well my problem for PS3 the game wouldn't even show up on the XMB, so not sure how that would help the problem.

I've cleaned the lense multiple times, still doesn't work.

Both Xbone and PS4 will install games on disk by default.
