Wii U-2015

Not saying you're wrong, but my theory/wishful thinking for why they haven't unveiled another Kirby game yet is because it's being made for Wii U. I remember Nintendo saying they were having trouble making games in HD, so that's probable cause for the delay. Not only that, but I think/hope that this will be the first full 3D Kirby game, and so development is a lot more complex than it was for previous Kirby games. I wanna say/believe those two reasons combined could cause quite the delay.

I see what ur saying but its very normal for Kirby to take long breaks on consoles. Adventure for NES came out in 93, Dream Land 3 in 97, 64 in 2000 and Return to Dreamland in 2011. I dont think its been delayed, more likely that a Kirby title for Wii U was never in consideration to release anytime before 2015. Id be surprised if we didnt get a 3DS Kirby next year.

Huh? Return to Dreamland was less than two years ago...

Exactly!

You said going on three years... it's been less than two...

Oh, my mistake! In my defense there are too many Kirby games to keep track of!

There are a lot of them, which is why I'm in no rush for another.  We had Mass Attack and Return in 2011, Epic Yarn in 2010.  I love Kirby, but it's time for a little break.

Not saying the other games are lesser, but only RTDL was a traditional new Kirby game. Also, if you want a break from Kirby, just don't buy any of his games while still playing other games for a while. I do that myself with Mario platformers, and it works great for keeping each game of his that I play feeling fresh and new!

I'm not sure what you mean by "traditional" Kirby game.  Kirby has always been a character that Nintendo has done a lot of experimenting with.  Kirby's Dream Course, Pinball Land, Avalanche, Tilt and Tumble, Air Ride, Canvas Curse, etc.  Most of Kirby's games are non-traditional.

Besides Epic Yarn was a lot better than Return To Dream Land :)

But anyway, when games are released too often, you get the Call of Duty effect where the games don't add much to the series and aren't very interesting.  I'd rather them let Kirby sit for a while till they have a good idea for him before making a game.

Kirby on 3DS would be awesome! Can't wait!

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Perhaps we could both be right. Kirby 3DS and Kirby Wii U both released next year!

I think Wii U big holiday titles for 2014 will be Zelda+Wii Sports but I could see it being Zelda+Kirby, it seemed to work back in 2011.

Like Mario, Kirby is a franchise so it can have spin-off games like the ones you mentioned. Dream Land, Amazing Mirror, Sqeak Squad, etc., those are traditional/mainline games, what Kirby is known for!

You don't have to buy every new game lol. Just skip a few releases so that when you do buy a new game, it will have a lot new to it compared to the last game you played from the series. I actually do this with CoD aswell. Btw what developer wouldn't want the Call of Duty effect! xD

I hope so! Zelda + Kirby >>>>> Zelda + Wii Sports in my obviously biased opinion!

How about a 3d kirby done right next christmas or a summer game? Never been a big fan though. I guess I only like nintendo when I actually play the games.

Sike I see you speak positively of Nintendo all the time! Of course maybe you're always playing one of their games while posting on here. Heck I'm doing that right now with Black 2!

All the more reason to assume HAL Laboratory is working on something substantial.

The next one should come out on 3DS and should play like Squeak Squad rather than RTDL. Afterwards they should make a followup to Returns to Dreamland.

But call it Tropical Thunder...oh wait.

Tropical Thunder? I don't understand! D:

Personally I hope the Kirby 3DS game will be structured like Amazing Mirror, where all worlds are connected and you can travel seperately from ally players if you want. I also hope the copy ability system is like Crystal Shards where any two abilitys can be combined into one. Bottom screen will be like Kirby's stomach in squeak squad where you can store abilitys and items aswell as combine abilitys. Game should also be fully online, both the main game and mini-games. All this would be awesomazing me thinks!
