Congratulations to the 3DS, even though on the site its off by 60k we all know it pass it last Saturday (Week Ending August 10th). It is the
12th highest selling gaming system and remains 5th in Handheld gaming!

Now Crossing the 33mil sales line the next system which it has to surpass (49.10mil units SNES) with a little over 16mil! When Will this happen? Early Next Year? Mid Year of 2014? Holiday 2014 or Maybe 2015 (trololololo)?


Pay your respect to the all mighty 3DS!!!

Japanese sales are more fun, it just passed the 12 mil mark and is quickly closing in on the Wii.

really? i thought the latest would be summer 2014! Oh well, imagine if it did it by early next year O.o! Well it surpassed all the home consoles, now for the big leagues! Pokemon should give it a hefty boost!

The 3ds still has a few more years ahead of it. Its a beast of a system (sales and games-wise) so i'd say holiday 2014

I can actually see JWein's logic, although it's on the conservative side. If the 3DS sells a modest 9-10 mil to close the year, it'll be around 42 mil. We're currently in August and it has sold about 5 million so far this year; if it repeats similar numbers next year, it might have 6-7 mil by the end of September.

I don't see that happening, but it's not a completely outrageous suggestion.
