I have both but never got around to playing them that much. I would like Battalion Wars 3 before Endless Ocean 3 though.

They're made by the same people?

No, but they are both third party devlopers (KUJU and Arika) that Nintendo has funded for the development of these titles and I would like Nintendo to fund KUJU for BW3 before they fund Arika for EO3.

They could fund both at same time!

It MUST HAPPEN.

EO2 was a huge improvement in almost every way, but even if a new installment doesn't improve by that much, it would be great to have much larger areas with many more things to see and do.

Time-travel would be pretty nice too. I wanna see some trilobites!

Oh yes Baz, I'm with you on this one.

Such a fantastic and unique series, especially in this gaming age of cinematic action blockbusters. It's just such a tranquil and beautiful game... *forlorning sigh*

And the hardware would suit the franchise in a spectacular way. Not just with beefed up hardware and a higher resolution, but the gamepad could serve some great functions as well (camera mode!). There's really a lot of potential here, so here's hoping that Nintendo and Arika (their last projects were completed last year) can bring back the magic.

I'd even take an Endless Ocean 3DS, but on WiiU it would be nothing short of spectacularly immersive.

Holy shit, yes please.

I've been saying this for ages (I talked to Conegamer about it recently actually) but Batallion Wars is one of the Nintendo franchises I think would benefit most from the gamepad.  Seriously, using the touch screen to order your troops around while controlling your character on screen... it's like the gamepad was built for this particular series.  It'd be tragic if we didn't get a Wii-U instalment.

OT: I've been meaning to try out Endless Ocean.  Reminds me of a PS1 game I played called Treasures of the Deep.  I'll have to see how much I can pick it up for.

Unfortunately we may not see another one simply because of sales. Despite the Wii's massively greater install base, BW2 sold less than it's GC predecessor, atleast according to VGC.

Hell yeah! Loved EO2!
