It's so messed up that a handful of Germans can compete with all the big boys and even outshine some of them.

Search your heart, you know them to be efficient. Since Iridion 3D, they've been making that silicon run sweaty.

Great to hear; Shin'en are a very talented studio who go the extra mile when making their games instead of just doing the bare minimum like so many others.

They're only 5 people, so we won't be seeing the kind of complexity you get in a game like Uncharted, which takes a large team of people and years of dev time, but all their games look very sharp, clean and flashy, and they always run at 60fps.

Sounds like Wii U's large eDRAM is turning out to be quite useful. Every other console game with deferred rendering runs at 30fps as far as I'm aware.

Hopefully they show what the Wii U is capable of, because even with the nice looking recent games like Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, I don't think/hope we are not seeing anywhere near the system's capabilities.

We're not. It's too early in the hardware's lifespan for it to be fully exploited yet. Future games will put to shame what we've seen so far.

Shokio has come a long way.

German engineering; it ain't just a cliche. ;)

Seriously though, it's a simple matter of effort. Shin'en make one. Ubisoft and co don't.
