lol Personally fire type is not my favorites. I rarely use fire types for some reason. Ghost type is the class i think needs more pokemon. |
ghost and dragon are the most rare (both have around 30 pokemon including pre evo+legendary). IMO they need more dragons, but NOOO more legendary ones. Ghost need alot more as well, im glad Gen 5 did 4 families of ghost, and out of them are fire/water/ground which were new pairings. Steel/ghost will be available (Honedge) but i like to see a grass/ghost (might be that new tree pokemon typing) and a personal choice Ghost/Rock!

im suprised nobody picked fenniken yet, most popular pokemon in x/y so far (exception of mega pokemon lol)

Yeah it was the first time I used ghost type pokemon since Pokemon B/R/Y. Gengar. That bastard was annoying to get because of trading as well. Now everybody has wifi/Wireless to trade and over here im thinking "Mf I had to use link cable bitch!" (Mf obviosly stands for my friend ;))
But grass/ghost sounds really interesting O.O

Wow ended up being all the starters I guess we need some more fire types.
1. Ho-Oh
![]()
Usually I dislike Uber pokes but I just can't hate Ho-Oh. Tho I see its Physical and Choice Band sets more often, I stick to its Tanking abilities. I stick to his rare Physically Defensive set (dispite its amazing Special Defense). Sacred Fire's 50% burn chance with above average Defense is still enough to survive a +2 Extreme Speed from the God Killer Arceus set. Brave Bird is for more STAB, which still hits like a beast on even a tank set. Subsitutes to stall/scout out abilties. Finally Roost + Leftovers + Regenerator makes for fantastic recovery.
2. Volcanora
![]()
A flexible pokemon, I use all its sets minus Chesto Rest. With Offensive Quiver Dance he becomes a great sweeper with monstrous Special Attack with Bug Buzz and Firey Dance that can boost his Special Attack even more, as well as Giga Drain to counter Rain Teams and for some healing. It actually functions well on Rain Teams with his Hurricane set. Hurricane for 100% accuracy in the rain, Bug Buzz again for STAB and Special Attack boost, and Hidden Power Water (as much as I hate HP) for a good Rain boosted damage. Finally its Bulky Quiver Dance with maxc HP and Def (to help its dismal defense, somewhat help with flame body ability) and Quiver Dance to bump up its Special Defense and Attack. Roost + Leftovers for great recovery. Unless you ahve Stealth Rocks or are Terrakoin, Heatran, Chansey, Tyranitar, Snorlax, or Azumarill your gonna have a hard time to stop this beast.
3. Darmanitan
![]()
Life Orb Darmanitan is a barrel of fun, and my only Physical fire pokemon on my list. With Sheer Force, Life Orb does no damage and makes with his monstrous attack stat that much more deadly. It has great coverage as well, Flare Blitz, Rock Slide, and Superpower. Finally U-turn to deal some damage and switch out, usually on a predicted Slowbro switch in.
4. Houndoom
![]()
Has a popular Mixed Set but I go with its Nasty Plot set, even tho I hate Hidden Power. Just 1 Nasty Plot is usually enough to deal with most poke's, with Fire Blast and Dark Pulse for STAB juiceness. Hidden Power Grass to rid of annoying bulky water types in UU.
5. Chandelure
![]()
Dat monster special attack, I seem to love flexable Pokemon! Anyway this poke has Substitute or SubSplit, Choice Specs and Scarf, Sunny Day, and Calm Mind. Tho I use him personally in doubles as a Trick Room counter. Imprison with Trick Room stops those teams in their tracks (as long as they don't taunt me, tho I usually have Tornadus to out taunt their taunt). Focus Sash to survive and get off Imprison or just attack at least once cause he's slow. Heat Wave for damaging both, and Shadow Ball for some Ghost STAB goodness. All my experince tho is without Shadow Tag, which makes him OU or even Uber.
