pokemon had no fire types in Gen3 or Gen4!!! Gen3 had just Torkoal/Blaziken/Camterupt and Gen 5 had only Inferape that was brand new (also magmortar). Wats wrong with that?

lol  Personally fire type is not my favorites.  I rarely use fire types for some reason.  Ghost type is the class i think needs more pokemon.

Dark Type is my class XD  And of course the over used dragon type lol

ghost and dragon are the most rare (both have around 30 pokemon including pre evo+legendary). IMO they need more dragons, but NOOO more legendary ones. Ghost need alot more as well, im glad Gen 5 did 4 families of ghost, and out of them are fire/water/ground which were new pairings. Steel/ghost will be available (Honedge) but i like to see a grass/ghost (might be that new tree pokemon typing) and a personal choice Ghost/Rock!
