I cannot find anything good from any era of chart music. Not the past, not now.

What is the type of music you listen to then?

Take a song. Remove all repeated phrases longer than three notes and sections where there isn't a clear melody (e.g. a song's intro, rap, dubstep, house, trance, jazz do not) (I do this with the program Audacity). If the song is vocal, one phrase needs to be at a higher intensity (chorus) (this rules out a lot of acoustic). If the song is over 45s after you do this, pass.

So mostly just Nintendo game soundtracks and obscure Youtube musicians.

I generally don't care about lyrics, meaning or production value.

90% of so called "music" these days is manufactured crap, churned out to cater for 15 year old girls and teeny boppers who just blindly follow the latest trends.

... pop music is worse. Because before, you had to atleast have some talent because they couldn't cover up mistakes like they can now. Now, if you have the image, they can make a sound for you, and oftentimes you can get work done to get an image.

There's still plenty of good music, though.

This is my favorite tune since playing ETS2 with local radio on, fun to hear my first language again I guess.

I'm going to give Armin van Buuren's Intense a try, see what he's up to.

As for music, the kids (2 and 4) like 20 dollars in my pocket, hey ho, and I will wait. I get more enjoyment from a good movie or game soundtrack, Journey ftw.

I listen to whatever the heck I want, whether it's overly manufactured pop crap or deep, meaningful music from the heart of a genuine musician. I don't care, whatever makes me jam.

On topic, it's been overall decent. I like some top 40's, but I've been exploring lots of missed songs from earlier and international songs as well.

I have forgotten that my second favorite album ever was released in 2005..so I take back what ive said

if you guys have time try it out

I think music is so wide and diverse bound to be stuff one enjoys. Might not be on the radio, but I've always been able to find stuff I enjoy.

Honestly have no idea what is big in popular music anymore and have not for good ten years.

99% of music is crap these days.
