How is Kinect beneficial to core gameplay? that is the question, microsoft.

Some peole really love dance games and kids love Kinect Adventures. Ever considered that?

It still the best and most successful movement sensor in the gaming market

I wouldnt call those people hardcore gamers if they only like playing dancing games and kinect adventures. And i completely disagree that Kinect is the best motion sensor on the market. Its not good for accurate fast paced gameplay like the Wii controller or PS Move. And i would much rather have a controller in my hand than be dancing around.

touchpad will be an amazing innovation for gaming & applications on consoles, dont know why M$ didnt look into touchpads

Let me guess:
Touchpad = is innovation
Calling a button "Share" : is innovation
Having a colored shape at the back of controller : is innovation

And you are wondering why Microsoft did not do that? :)

Not biased, riiight?

Dude its just a mouse pad   anything it can do the joystic can aswell

Yeah and theres somethings touch screen can do more accurately like pinpointing more accurately. Its kind of like how a mouse can cover more area quickly than a joystick. Depends on what you're out there to do. The PS4 controller can do more plus it has six axis for slight of hand movements.

Im just glad that there is still a battery pack on the controller. My PS3 controller no llonger charges as trhe bloody thing inside is dead. My 5t PS3 controller due to not holding charge anyore.

Sony should have made a PS4 controller with a battery pack. PS3 controllers have cost me 150 quid. Just controllers.

You'd surely give your PSN name to us which should have hundreds of games in the trophy list, right? I have played more than 150 games with the first and only controller I had, battery life is still pretty much the same.

1- What's hardcore gamers? If they buy 10 motion based games a year and all they play are those games, they're not hardcore in you opinion. Wow.

2- 20+ million hardware sold and best supported motion controller with numerous games mad specically for it.

So you'd rather play a dancing game with Wiimote and PS move. LOOOOOL. You just want to front on MS issue. MSphobia is getting out of hand here.

... ouch. I wonder if he had a smirk in place while he said that?

Even though I'd like to have a Wii U, it's for the games, the controller touch-screen thing is something that has never really interested me for those very reasons. I don't WANT to look up and down from a small screen to a big screen, especially when a simple button press can toggle a map or whatever on the main display. There are a few genres that I think would benefit from it but not the majority.

For a interface and television control, though, it's pretty nifty.

Why wouldn't the touchpad be innovative for console gaming? It's something new and different, right? What would be your definition of being innovative then?

OT: he took a jab at the Wii U but i kinda have to agree. Nintendo should make The Gamepad a secondary controller and keep the Wii Mote as its main

Hum.. I kind of fail to see where I said it was not innovative :)

Look, im not a microsoft hater, im just telling the truth.

Its not possible to play Halo with the Kinect the same way you can play other FPS games like Metroid Prime 3, with Wiimote, or Killzone 3/Portal 2 with PS move. Its not useful for sword motions, like we see in Skyward Sword.

The only thing i can see Kinect being good for is dancing games and i guess thats great for people who like that kind of stuff.

Well you did say

"Let me guess: Touchpad = is innovation"

as if it wasn't innovative and that he would be biased if he even slightly thought that it was.

Edit: Damn! I got a reply before i could edit that last part out.. Oh well lol
