Forums - Nintendo - Is the 3DS going to steal the spotlight from the Xbone and PS4 this Christmas?

Maybe in Japan but i don't know. The 3DS will do really well anyway and should be the top system this Christmas regardless of new consoles coming out or not.

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

No, it won't

Not only the 3DS, but also the PS3 and the 360.

Besides Japan? No.

Probably, in sales definitely. After all, the new systems are launching, and I expect them to run out of steam pretty soon after launch.

Let us see.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

In japan probably.

3DS will quietly win the holidays in terms of sales, but the spotlight will be all on Xbone and PS4.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Steal, no. It'll share the spotlight with PS4/X1 in the West; Japan may be a different story, though I still expect PS4 to do quite well there.

Also keep in mind that you're talking about two audiences, a handheld audience and a home console audience, and while there is overlap between the two they are not the exact same group. There will be those like me who don't care much at all about how well the 3DS/Vita do, and others who don't care about the new home consoles.

i agree with this. its not like 3DS is going to steal sales from PS4/One or vice versa
