This is not the Smash Bro community. This is a few select people on Miiverse requesting characters without thinking before they type. That's all.

but if you mean the gameplay, i agree, Melee's was leagues better, you should check into something called "Project M", i can't imagine going back to regular brawl

Megaman(Capcom), Sonic(SEGA AKA Mario Killer), and Snake(Kojima with a bigger community on Sony consoles) had a proper history with Nintendo?

The reason people want Goku is because Capcom is working on the game which has a history with one of the all time most popular characters that is Goku.  It is only natural that people want a popular character in a game they love.

The problem is basically, due to Melee and Brawl, the Smash Bros community is spoiled, in Japan they requested characters and got them in Melee, then they requested and heard about others requesting characters that ultimately showed up in Brawl, now a vocal segment believes if they keep shouting and yelling enough they will get what they want or think they want in the next one.

You know it is bad when creators go on various social media and do interview where they are asking fans to STOP requesting characters but folk still wind up doing it. Even developers that only have a slight connection to Nintendo have been bombarded with requests to get their characters in games. Honest, I wish Sakurai and Nintendo would just come out saying "We've chosen all the characters that are going to be in the next Smash Bros." announce the number of new Guest ones and it would probably be best to just announce early on who they know won't be returning to get all the whiners started early so they tire themselves out. The slow drip of who is in the game doesn't really do nothing but make the fans more rabid when they know their favorite selection isn't there.
