Just a quick question, personally I never use the 3D because it hurts my eyes and it drains the battery.  Also whenever I turn it on I don't see 3D, idk if something is wrong with my eyes, but the picture doesn't look 3D to me.  I just bought the 3DS for the games, the 3D feature has no influence on me buying the system.  So what about you guys, do you use the feature?

Out of interest how is your eyesight normally? is there a difference in your vision between both eyes, say if you cover one then the other can you still see just the same? Reason I ask this is because I have a slight scar in center of my right eye which meant that the effect of the older 3ds's 3d was really hampered but at the same stage on the XL the scar covers less of the middle of the screen so I can properly enjoy the 3d on that bigger screen.

Btw are you aware that you can fully disable the 3ds's 3d in the parential menu? so that when you launch games it's 100% 2d and doesn't waste power on the feature if you wanna leave it off completely.

One of my eyes is actually a lot worse than the other.

same as myself so I'd say mate, if you play the 3ds in 2d mode but close your good eye, what you are seeing with your bad eye is how little of the 3d effect you're going to see when both eyes are open to both sets of pixels. Could explain why you get a headache trying to use the 3d functionality as your brain is trying to compensate for your bad eye by merging the image from your good eye, but ofc what your good eye is seeing is completely different so it's gonna be harsh on your head. Sad state really but just one of those features we miss out on but still the system has some amazing games, even in 2d :)

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I normally always play with the 3D on, depending on the game. Capcom games, though, I normally play in 2D, since they apply AA when not running in 3D mode. Jaggie-free handheld gaming is awesome.

I use it pretty much all the time at about 75%, I only turn it off if I'm in a car or laying down or something like that. I love the 3D effect ^.^

So you can feel the screen, you no longer need buttons because the screen lets you feel buttons on it!?!?!?!?!

That actually would be totally boss lol

Lol, well, if that's what the 4th dimension is, then that's cool I guess. No idea how a "4th dimension" would work.

Looks like most people use 3D afterall!

No. In fact, I got so annoyed with the slider being so easily moved in my pocket. I disabled it VIA parental controls.

I'm surprised I thought it was gonna go the other way, looks like there's just something wrong with my eyes.

Just because you don't like something many others do doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you!
