Cant wait for news ;o

No PC? I"ll wait to get it on PS4 then (maybe I'll get it on Vita).

Platforms: Mainly for Windows, Mac and Linux via Steam and our website. iOS and Android will have a different version to the PC counterparts due to limitations.
We are also working to have the game released on PlayStation 4 and other platforms but is yet to be confirmed.

I can definitely picture Sony having an interest in this because of their indie stance nowadays, so I expect a PS4 stretch goal to be imminent.

One developer is taking up a lot of those "AAA" games if you look it up. It becomes less amazing when you find out what he did for those games.

I wouldn't expect too much for 100k. And so many people with such acclaim building this game for only 100k makes me feel like they are the people that got sorted out early at their previous jobs.

Not the case at all.

"When you think of usual developing fees, USD100,000 is definitely not enough to create a video game. However, as each of our members are professionals in their own field, they do not require a salary right now, and so, are donating their time and effort into developing Project Phoenix. Their reward will come in the fans’ evaluation of the game and a %-based royalty of all sales. This is the reason why our project will never fail due to lack of finance after we reach our goal. It is possible to release our game with just our developers' work, but there is one cost that we just cannot ignore in order to make the highest quality video game. Our pledge, USD100,000 will be used for one of the best 3D modeling out there. This figure is the most minimum cost required."

Such a shame that the kickstarter opened up without a confirmed PS4/Vita version. I know they said there's a 90% chance of it happening but it's still not confirmed yet.
If it was confirmed already, donations would go through the roof from PS fans. Just look at Soul Saga, it was just dragging along until a PS4/Vita version was announced as a stretch goal and then boom, close to 200k final total when it was all said and done.

It won't have any problem reaching it's goal.  It's gone from 20k to 35k in the hour since I posted it.

I think it's riding a lot of PR about coming to PS4/Vita anyway.  Some sites have been reporting that it is, even though it's just a rumour.  So I'm sure that's helping too.

the 100,000k they're getting funding elsewhere.

They're just using it to supplement the game. It's a bit weird. But, if you trust them its not a bad deal since you do get a game if it's actually released. Also, I don't sound pessimistic. It's easier to release it on PC/whatever first, because you can keep patching it and things, without it costing lots of money.

"The money that has been invested through Kickstarter will go towards things such as recordings and hiring extra assistants. The money will always be used solely to enhance the quality of Project Phoenix. This money will never reach our members as salary. Our members are working on this game knowing that they will receive a royalty of the % of income based on how much time they've spent on Project Phoenix."

40k already... wowzers!
