the 100,000k they're getting funding elsewhere.
They're just using it to supplement the game. It's a bit weird. But, if you trust them its not a bad deal since you do get a game if it's actually released. Also, I don't sound pessimistic. It's easier to release it on PC/whatever first, because you can keep patching it and things, without it costing lots of money.
