The biggest problem for PS4 right now has nothing to do with similarities in graphics between the two and multiplatform. The biggest problem is that Microsoft is embracing the cloud as a main feature while Sony is not. A lot of multiplatform games will take advantage of the cloud, if not early on later on. This will be the difference between the two, as the cloud will give the X1 advantages for people who play online. Im betting Sony will embrace the cloud by the end of the generation.

As for specs, developers has been saying for months and months they are similar and see no differences.  This whole one is more powerful than the other is just fanwars.

The cloud Microsoft has advertized nothing but a pr buzzword. The real world cloud that games will use is much less impressive. Plus, the PS4 can use it too.

Unless you are talking about things from the perspective of the general public, you are dad wrong.

Pr buzzword?  Developers has been talking about the advantages of the cloud and freeing up the hardware.  Also Nvidia has been talking about this before the X1 announcement and recently has even showed a video on how it works.  This is not a Pr word.  I gaurantee that Sony will be heavily invested in the cloud by the end of this generation.

We are only seeing glimpes of what it can do, as just like hardware the cloud will progress even further.

Yes Microsoft saying the cloud makes the xbox one 300% more powerful is using it as a complete PR buzzword. Turn10 saying it makes AI 600% smarter is again the same PR trash. The cloud being used for better matchmaking or cooler online interactions? That's real, and has been done by both Microsoft and Sony for years. The stuff Nvidea has been talking about, such as using the cloud for lighting, is still years away and not even designed for a cpu centric cloud like Microsoft's Azure. Sony is already heavily invested in the cloud, they just aren't shouting bs. The main advantage Ms has for third parties is the cost of using the cloud. Titanfall creators have said it's relatively cheap while on PS4 they wouldn't have that benefit.

The cloud isn't something Sony could do overnight.

Naturally, so they bought Gaikai, who already had the whole infrastructure for it.

The PS4 is gonna have PS3 games streamed to it in 2014. I think that shows commitement and capability enough. If you think Sony's not embracing the cloud - then you think wrong. They've invested a wagon of money into it. It's just not a huge selling point like they make it for the X1.

Gaikai is not Sony's cloud lol.

Although it will be doing tons of calculations off in some warehouse, it's really only designed for full content streaming. It really has nothing to do with what people consider the cloud to be.

That thing about cloud being embraced by one and not by the other is bull. The cloud is already used on current consoles. For MMOs, for example.

The use of the cloud will only grow from now. Just because MS invested a huge pile of cash into building Azure doesn't mean the others are not embracing it. The cloud is definitely the future, sadly, and everyone will make use of it at some point. And the features possible with such tech will only get more and more intricate as developers get familiar with it. Sony is already doing it. They're just not focusing their PR on it.

Do you have a link to prove your statement, or are you from the future?

If you are, is FF XV good?

Idk if i worded something wrong or if you are misundestanding me.  I am not saying Sony does not have the cloud, Im saying that it isnt being as heavily invested in at the moment(Or from what we know).  Obviously Sony has Galkai, which furthers what I am saying.  Cloud is the way of the future.  My point is the cloud will be implemented in this generation and developers will be taking advantage of it.  MSFT has been boasting this because yes it will be getting developers on board.  In the coming years you can come back to this conversation because the cloud will further progress from what we are being told today.

Cloud is not a buzzword, it is a feature.  300% blah blah, yes that is PR work.  Rocket Science and Prepare for Greatness would be examples of buzzwords.  The cloud and Galkai are features.

I do not have a link. I am the link.

Just think about what Gaikai is doing; rendering PlayStation games. Why would they take these GPU intensive servers and have them number crunch when Sony already has number crunching servers? It's technically possible yet realistically crazy.

If you still don't agree, I'll do my best to search for some links for you to read.

Also FFXV never releases. (my first paragraph is a complete joke btw if you don't get the reference)

The cloud (as far as we care about) has nothing to do with Gaikai.

Anyway come launch do you really think multiplat games will have exclusive cloud features on the xbox one?

Also I'm done posting in this thread unless people ask specific questions to me. I don't really like just taking over a thread like this. I've posted a lot in the past few minutes lol. My apologies.

and if Xone failed we will see multiplat PC/PS4 ! It's not that I hope that, concurrence has its pros and cons.

Ill make a thread about it in a bit so people can have conversation about it.  But yeah, we probably are off topic by this point.

But you are right about the Cloud and Galkai not being the same.  Galkai is a streaming service as far as I know?  It reminds me of Onlive, though hopefully it takes off better if that is the case.  I always thought Onlive was a really good service.  People's internet just wasn't prepared for it yet.

I'm not, but come on.  You know this game will suck.  Like me you're probably going to buy it anyways then go on forums and bash the game with how terrible of a company Square Enix is, etc, etc, etc.
