there are 4 5million sellers now   SM3DL/NSMB2/MK7/AC NL (Confirmed by nintendo that it sold 5.4mil)

Okay. So taking those 4 and adding in your predictions from the other post, we only get 9.

Where do you think the other 9+ are coming from?

10 actually with the other post

then these games have a chance imo

Monster Hunter 4 (Japan will have Minimum 4mil Maximum 5mil) but with Western Market i can see another million

Super Smash Bros 4 (Never Had a Handheld so i dont kno, but 1 thing is for certain, Japan will love the game since its first time on handheld like Luigi Mansion was)

If another MH5 is exclusive  when it comes out  in 2016-2017 maybe

LoZ A Link Between Worlds (Phantom Hour glass did close to 5mil, i dont see why this game cant especially when it looks so much better)

Mario Party (not confident but DS did over 8mil so whatever

Nintendogs+Cats (over 3mil now and its one of those games that will be boughten all of 3DS's Lifetime)

So that right there is between 12-16 then dont forget we still got at least 5 years of games who knows right?

So, 0 3DS will sell over 20M? :(

I'll bet that at the very least one 3DS game makes 20m, I hesitate to say more because 20m is a really high number and 2 would be as high as I'm willing to go for betting.  Though I do not think it's impossible for the 3DS to do 4 or more, I think it's unlikely.

Which franchises do you think will make it over 20M?

Pokemon is highly likely to make it over 20m.  Considering piracy wont be an issue and it is releasing same day globally, I am sure that could do well for keeping numbers high.  Not only that, but many people who left Pokemon because a lot of the older ones felt the same should be coming back considering the vast amounts of new things, including a large part in Internet connectivity this time around (you can actually send custom messages to people and battle anywhere).

It is also getting a heavy amount of advertising in Japan, and most likely going to sometime soon get it in the USA.  Just think about it like that, and you'll see that it definitely is NOT ridiculous to think that the game will do well.  It also will be downloadable, so even if it sells out, people can download it.

Other than that, I think that games with long legs have a chance, but no guarantees.  Games like NSMB2 and Super Mario 3D Land.  They are already over 5m and sell a good bit every week, regardless of being released a long time ago.

Piracy was never than big on the DS. At least nowhere near as big as it was for the PSP. I'm just thinking that Nintendo franchises are selling less this gen so why would it be different for Pokemon X/Y?

Yes it was.  Look at Black and White's sales number for Europe.

Pokemon has actually been pirated quite a lot. Even on VGC there are people who talk about playing their Pokemon games on other devices. (Games like Pearl/Diamond HeartGold/SoulSilver and Black/White.)

Also, not every Nintendo franchise has been selling less. Quite a few are actually breaking records. (Animal Crossing/Fire Emblem, as well as Super Mario 3D Land do very, very well.)

I am just looking at numbers provided by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association. DS piracy is nowhere the level that it was on the PSP.

And Fire Emblem seems to be outsold the GBA one by the slightest of margins, AC:NL is far from the sales of the DS one. And SM3DL doesn't even begin to the Mario games on DS.

You really don't seem to put too much effort into researching for your posts. Anyway...

Just because CESA states that the DS hasn't been pirated as much as the PSP, which was pirated a lot, doesn't mean Pokemon wasn't pirated a lot. Did they state specific games? It doesn't seem so. If they did, please tell me.

Fire Emblem was just released this year and still hasn't had a holiday. AC:NL was released this year in NA and Europe, so it still hasn't had a holiday, nor has it had a long time to sell in NA/Europe. SM3DL is an evergreen title meaning it'll keep selling, especially when the holiday hits.

How could you miss these points?

your wrong again and again lol, fire emblem on 3ds is the best selling in the franchise and will continue to rise. ACNL is tracking better than the one on DS so far, SM3DL is now over 8.5mil while mario 64 DS is at 10mil, that means SM3DL>>>Mario 64DS in sales

also dont forget to mention luigi's mansion that its currently over 2.65mil in just 4months with the original being at 3.70 lifetime. this means it will beat it lifetime and continue to be selling over 4mil

Pokemon x/y for the 10th time is going to sell alot, also MH4 will do much more than your low prediction, i can name more but it wont mean a thing
