why complain about the trilogy, the Wii U version was 60 bucks so it wasnt worth it anyway. You could have gotten just ME3 for cheaper on PS3 360 or PC, so lets not act like the trilogy somehow devalued the Wii U version. And if you can get it for other systems why the hell would one care about ME3 for WIi U in the first place.

I would say it is a pretty good guess. The library on PS360 is massive, anyone who values third party games will have one. I have a Wii U, and would have got GTA 5 for it, but I won't pretend I bought it for anything other than Nintendo games. Anyone who did has made a huge mistake, that is pretty obvious at this point.


This, its just common sense really. THere arent even that many Wii Us that have been sold. If you dont have a PS3 or 360 by NOW then you didnt really want GTA or at least you didnt want it badly enough. Its 2013


So are you insinuating every PC/mobile/DS/3DS/PSP/OUYA/MAC etc owner did not own/play/want a GTA game when all the formats mentioned have GTA games on them, the WiiU spec makes it as good as the PS3/360 so why would Rockstar miss an oportunity to expand to the WiiU, even Nintendo would welcome GTAV on the WiiU and no doubt boost its sales in the process.

if you think specs are the only thing that plays a factor then you dont know RS or what you are talking aobut, its not on WIi U cause they dont think its worth it and the demograph is not their, thats just the way it is, some gonna have to deal with it. Im not insinuating nothing, we knew about the game for sometime and we knew what system it was going to be on, now if someone sat their and wished on a little video game star for it to come on WIi U and surprise surprise it didnt and know they are mad...well excuse me if i dont look at that person and do a little head shake. Did people really expect it to come to Wii U? or hell even next gen consoles?

Disrespect is a strong word, its video games, not politics or anything important, but if thats the way you feel thats the way you feel. Wait...you dont even have Wii U? then what are you complaining about? LOL

No one had any arguments, no one proved anything, it all came down to Im a Ninty fan and i want the game on a Ninty console, which is fine but that doesnt prove how it will be profitable. RS would not sell that much more copies to justify a port especially a late one.

bolded: excep for the 10 times it was said that it shouldn't take much more than 100k  to proft (it will probably reach 1M) from the port + the benefits of establishing the franchise.

The trilogy DID devalue the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect was never on a nintendo console before so releasing a trilogy for the Wii U would have made perfect sense.

do you work for Rockstar? Do you know how much they would need to sell to make a profit? Because unless anyone here actually works for said company, it is speculation at best, pulling numbers from their butt at worst.

No it was devaluled already by being more expensive than the others, the trilogy just add more fuel to a fire that already destroyed a forest. Yeah they should have released the trilogy on WIi U, youll get no argument from me, but they didnt. It is what it is.

I just hope the port is ideal and not a lazy port like with GTAIV.

i want the PC version and just hope RS actually make full use of the discrete graphics cards and less CPU intesive, one other thing i hope rockstar do and thats not to make the game a "games for windows" game so i can actually invite my friends on steam to play in multiplayer, i dont want to have to pay for an xbox live subscription to play a PC game online.

He is just assuming that every game cost $ 1 million to port based on the ubisoft statement. In order to know how much rockstar need to sell to make a profit, first: he has to know how much will cost Rockstar to port a game like GTA based on internal numbers and second: he need to know how much they get in return for every copy sold. Since we don't have those numbers as evidence, assuming selling 100k = profit is wishful thinking at best. I doubt it cost $1 million to port a game like GTA, probably cost much more.
