This gen didn't start with the PS3, it started when the 360 came out.

if you have a decent gaming pc, console games look like atari games when in comparison, i hate 720 so damn much, complete garbage!!!!!! even cell phones are on the level on current gen consoles with the tegra 4 coming out. like ive said before, im a graffics whore.

PS1 was first released in 1994.

PS2 was released in 2001 in Europe.
PS3 in 2007.

I don't know if you were being sarcastic, but most people choose one console, so as a Playstation owner I don't care about other console release dates and measure generations by Sony consoles.
