no four means four.

Actually "Sony is the best cursed company in the world" is an historically true statement.
Sony backed Betamax vs VHS, Betamax died, but Sony survived.
Sony backed the minidisc vs the compact disc, minidisc died, Sony survived.
Sony backed its proprietary memory stick vs the generic SD card, memory stick is dead, except for its resurrection as a Vita memory card which still makes it mortally wounded, Sony survived.
Sony backed Blu-ray, Blu-ray survived, but in an age where people are increasingly going digital and not buying discs Blu-ray almost cost Sony it's PS3 brand, but the curse certainly meant PS brand lost its position of absolute dominance in home consoles. And but for the GFC and the collapse of its TV sales Sony would have survived quite well instead of running a number of years of losses. Indeed perhaps the lesson here is that when Sony's newly backed tech wins (on paper) the universe conspires to make Sony, as a whole, lose.
Sony IS cursed but it seems to have succeeded all these years despite this. There's no reason to think Sony will do otherwise for the foreseeable future.
The advantage this time with PS4, which should prevent the curse destroying PS4 or Sony, is unlike the previous examples Sony isn't trying to use PS4 as a Trojan horse to introduce any of its proprietary, and expensive, new technology.
PS1 and CD, and PS2 and DVD avoided the product / format curse because Sony wasn't introducing anything new, they were backing formats that had already established themselves as the next wave of entertainment distribution.
So, hate to burst your whimsical bubble, but an historical truth is not evidence of future failure.

Does this have to do with the fact its #4 cause the #4 is cursed/damned in Japan? |
no, the word for 4 simply sounds the same as the word for death in japanese (well, they made a second word for 4 which sounds different)
but thats not what this thread is based on
Deyon simply misworded a sentence he had google translate into spanish. He apparantly used "Sony is the damn best company in the world.", not realizing that the original meaning for "damn" is "cursed" and that's how it came out in the spanish translation. That is what this thread is about.

Oh, buddy, there, be careful whom you are derpin'. Might wonder into a big angry hornet's nest.
Actually, in Japanese the word four and the word death can be the same thing. There was a thread about it a while ago.
"The unluckiness of the number four is one such example, as the Japanese word for "four" sounds like the word for "death."

It's google's translator fault, not Deyon's. xD Damn can be used in Spanish as you use it in English, but unfortunately it meant "cursed" on what Deyon wrote.

Here's an incredible article that makes your "four=death" argument sound idiotic.
