I think so too about the 3DS version of SSB4

They'll eat it like hotcakes plus its a good device for playing online or even local fights :O

10+ mil for 3DS

8+ mil for WiiU

Really? Maybe I'm being overly conservative but I only expect 4 million or so for the 3DS version. Local multiplayer on a big screen with friends is probably the biggest draw of Smash. I think the Wii U version should sell better. Maybe 7-8 million.

ssb is waaaaay more fitting on home consoles but dont forget japan is a handheld gaming country! like how luigi mansion2 outsold luigi mansion 1 in a mere 2 months of sales (or less), i think smash will sell between 1.5- 3mil there! possibly more 0.o

Sorry for going a bit off topic here, but seeing this made me realise how far Tekken has fallen.  It was an aboslute juggernaut on PS1 =/

Anyway, I can't really tell how SSB for 3DS will do (you can tell me, I'm a doctor).  The series seems to always have thrived from local multi-player, so a handheld entry doesn't seem like it'll do that well.  I can see it doing gangbusters in Japan though, seeing as how much they love handhelds and the 3DS in particular.  It's gonna be interesting to see how much it takes away from the Wii-U version, too.

Not goign to comment on sales.
Wanted to say that I am surprised by that list!!!!!

The 3DS version of the game probably won't get anything above 5 Million. I answered 4 Million in the poll.
Yeah, yeah. Call me a debby-downer, but I have serious doubts of this game doing all that well on HH. (Especially in NA + EU.)

The Wii U version should receive around 8 Million, though. All in all, not too bad. (Combined around 12 Million.)

Also, that list is extremely worrying for the Fighting genre.

Off Topic but:

It's interesting to note that Tekken 3 (PS1) is still Namco's best selling game,

and Street Fighter II: WW (SNES) is still Capcom's best selling game.
