daredevil.shark said: When apple released their console "Apple Bandai Pippin" 17 years ago they learned a good lesson. Plus making a hardware and selling it at loss or no profit doesnt match apple. Plus they are making a lot through digital and retail (I love retail version of a game) doesnt give full profit. They are happy with current business model. I remember all the complainers about how limited the Kinect when it launched, you couldn't really do much on Netflix with it. Then about a year later, it was fully integrated with Bing Voice Search and you could verbally pause in every app. Microsoft added stuff over the year, but it was next dashboard for the real upgrade in functionality.
I remember the joke was something like, "If Apple had launched the Kinect it would all those things day one, but it would also have cost $400."
