You really think they're competing? When people talk about next gen consoles, they never mention the Wii U. Which is not out of disrespect. They'll make their console, and will bring out their usual first party games, and make a profit. We pretty much know what to expect out of Nintendo in terms of software. WIth Sony and Microsoft, we don't know what they'll do. |

Thats absolutely true, I just think ur reading too much into his original comment. Hes not saying it in a derogatory manner, just stating that they appeal to different demographics. PS3/PS4/360/One will all be fighting for the same crowds money for the next couple years whilr if Nintendo plays there cards right can have an entire market to themselves |
The funny thing is I think the XBox One probably could have the deepest lineup for 2014.
It should have most/all of the third party games the PS4 gets (Final Fantasy XV, MGSV, Destiny, Battlefield 5, Madden NFL, Call of Duty, etc.) and Titanfall and perhaps .... a new Halo game ready for the fall?
MS tends to moneyhat games as well, ala Dead Rising 3, so they probably have some surprises waiting for 2014.

Naw, he's definitely saying they're not competing period. |
I see that now, its sad, I try sticking up for someone and they go and make an ass of themselves

Yep, problem? :3 |
Yeah. How can people think that the WiiU will sell better than the PS4?

Read some of the post here (including OP) to find out! |
I read enough to see that some people think that Mario Kart 8 and SSB4 are going to sell as much as their Wii counterparts.
I don't think Mario Kart 8 will sell anywhere close to Mario Kart Wii either.
MK Wii was the perfect bridge game for all those Wii Sports/Fit casuals that flooded in to the Wii, MK8 is not going to have the same boost IMO.
Plus I think MK Wii was "fresh" to a lot of people because of the steering wheel/motion gaming mechanic and the fact that a lot of people skipped the GameCube Mario Kart, because the GameCube simply wasn't popular enough of a console. So there was a long period for people's Mario Kart "apetite" to build up as it were (ditto for 2D Mario), a lot of people hadn't played Mario Kart since the N64 or even SNES days.
Mario Kart 8, having played it at E3, pretty much plays and feels exactly like MK Wii with a little bit of MK7 sprinkled in. It will still be a great game, but replicating MK Wii's success won't happen.
It's kinda the same problem I think Nintendo is running into with the New Super Mario Bros. series ... the first DS and Wii one put up monstrous numbers, but in part they felt really fresh for their time because a lot of people hadn't played a 2D Mario in ages. NSMB2 and NSMBU don't feel nearly as fresh because everyone just played NSMB/NSMB Wii a few years ago and the 3DS/Wii U aren't getting the Brain Training/Nintendogs/Wii Sports/Wii Fit traffic either.
