I can see them releasing one for half the price which doesnt play games as a controller, but nothing more than that.

The fuck?? How would that work?

I don't see where the confusion is. The PSV can play any PS4 game on the move, correct? So why not have a model which does that, but is similar to the Gamepad (i.e. doesn't play its own games) for about £90? It'd be more like a controller than a Vita, but looking at American Vits and SW sales I don't see there being a massive change if there's simply a redesign for the same market suceeding I'm afraid.

No one mention the fu**ing poor R1/L1 ?
No one mention the stupid fact that you cover sound with your thumbs when you're playing ? Heck, that sound thing must have be designed by a monkey. It takes monkeys to not notice it.

No way! Vita will continue without changes. Maybe a price drop to 199

Oh, I read it differently lol.

I don't see this being a good idea, though. A pure gamepad isn't going to sell, and why even use the Vita for that? They could just as well create something new and keep the Vita as is. They wouldn't really benefit by making Vita a pure controller.

What Vita needs is a price cut (including for the memory cards) and huge IPs like GTA and Monster Hunter. Bundle it with a new handheld GTA and the sales would finally be acceptable.

I agree entirely with this last bit, as everyone would. But I really don't see any major IPs coming to the system now. Monster Hunter is having plenty of success on the 3DS, and Id think that GTA would have been announced if it was coming, really. Aside from that, I see GT doing well for the system, but aside from that? I don't know. I hope Im wrong, of course, because I would love to play GTA V Stories on my Vita. But Ive kinda accepted the fact that ain't gonna happen now.

it needs this. better batter life + 12GB built in memory at least. that would eliminate the problem of memory cards, really nobody NEEDS to buy one since their saved games can be saved on the built in memory. add that with a price cut and it just help move a few more systems

Just picked up the Game Pack from Game in the UK - 10 games 8 GB card and Vita for £169. Amazing deal :) What was surprising was they had all the vita/single games still selling at £229.

So it's surprising, is it a price drop, testing the water, or clearing stock for model 2... not sure. But I can't see them being able to sell the console much cheaper than that deal (especially as in game the 8gb cards were £21 on their own).

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Price Drop is needed, mainly the hardware itself is pretty much spot on. Onboard memory is something I could see them doing, but that would add to the cost.

With there being a few retailer leaks of Vita games due out this winter which haven't formally been announced or have been mentioned, but not properly unveiled, hopefully GamesCon will be a bit of a relaunch for the system.

If they can trim that £169.99 price point to £149.99 and get the likes of Killzone, Tearaway and Invizimals packed in for that (as separate bundles) they may actually be able to convince people to part with their money for a Vita this Xmas. Also needs something for next year beyond Freedom Wars and PS4 streaming. A big IP like GTA even if Sony paid for all the development themselves.

I know plenty of people who are interested in Vita, but the price point and the expectation of impending doom make them reluctant to actually stump up the money for one.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
