Forums - Sony - Prediction: Sony is going to Show PSVita V2 at Gamescom.

IMO there will be no new Vita versions at GC this year. I think they still have a lot of current consoles stocked, so until that is cleared....

We can hope though that 4GB card gets phased out, and that bigger memory cards - 64/128GB models get introduced. Of course with more competitive prices. I don't see them ever being as cheap as MicroSD cards, but something between MicroSD prices and current prices would be a sweet spot.

PSV Go, would be a horrible failure as PSP Go was, and I don't see that happening (especially when you take in account PSP Go sales and general performance).

I hope that we'll see games, and lots of them on GC this year.

We'll see bigger memory cards, price cut 50$ for vita and memory cards to be slashed much more and new game announcements that's all needed for vita to boost.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

The best part about the Vita is the perfect design, all it might need is internal memory

I just want some cheaper memory.....

A better reveal would be some more new games, GTA, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, more new IP. I feel that Sony needs to put some more blockbuster titles on there, not just this steady stream of smaller titles

I think there'll be a minor revision, nothing too drastic. Similar to what happened with the PSP.

I hope so but with a solution to the memory card debacle and/or with a way to play games on the TV or PS3/PS4 :O

Day 1 for me and I would buy all of the PSP Digital games too so I can play it on a big screen TV.

I heard somewhere on here that the newest Japanese Vita has a video out port.

Solution to the memory card problem is to stop being greedy bastards.

I think that Sony should follow your advice !

I just don't see the point, really. I can't see any fundamental problems with the hardware itself that could be fixed with a revision. It's problems are plentiful - games; memory card prices; being a non-Nintendo handheld in 2013 etc. One of those can be fixed easily; one can be fixed with a lot of effort (and for the other they'll just have to roll with the punches) but none of them involve changing anything about the hardware itself.

Bringing down manufacturing costs with smaller internal components couldn't hurt. Maybe a slight re-design could be used to kinda re-launch the Vita alongside the PS4.

Internal memory and HDMI output.

... neither of which are really that necessary, imo.  Drop the price of the memory cards and introduce a bigger model (makes memory less of an issue); HDMI out appeals to a tiny niche of people (I used to be one of them, but I honestly don't care anymore.  I'd rather not look at a jagged stretched mess on a big screen when I can look at it on the lovely OLED).

Wouldnt change much...It needs games!!

Vita games still look pretty darn sexy on Youtube!

Doubt we will see a revision yet, maybe next year tho. I think a price cut is more likely.

Vita w/4gb memory card, 3 month Plus-$199

Also drop memory card price, 4gb-bundled, 8gb-$25, 16gb-$35, 32gb-$60, 64gb-$100

That plus Killzone/Tearaway should give it a decent boost and I think this holidays big games will be another COD+Ass Creed and possibly one more big 1st party game, maybe GoW or Gran Turismo.
