Forums - General - What is the most tired you have ever been?

I was once so tired that it was taking every bit of my concentration to even remain conscious, thankfully I was safe at home grinding in dark souls =) Not living on the dangerous side like you spurgeonryan driving to McDonalds at the wee hours of the night:)

Probably the week that Guild Wars 2 launched.

After waiting 7 years for that game I probably slept a grand total of 5 hours the entire week when i got it

I didn't sleep in 4 days and started having semi-hallucinations (distortion of the environnement).

The creepiest day of my life.

Walked 50 miles non stop for religious purpose when I was 15 and I slept for the whole day and then some. Worst feeling not being able to move.

The longest I ever stayed up was probably just under 48 hours and I think I slept 17 hours the next day.

But the most tired I've ever felt is when I get sick, I just feel incredibly tired all the time.

Three times.

End of Uni, had a solid week of exams and the last thing I had to do to finish my science degree was write up a short thesis This was the end of a six month project I had been working and involved a literature review, results analysis, discussion etc. Started working on it on Friday evening after work, finished Monday morning about 4am. Then I had a philosophy paper that I hadn't even looked at yet that I need to finish, managed to knock that off by about about 7am. Had some breakfast, went to Uni, handed in my papers, came home and slept like I had never slept before up to that point in my life.

Next time was when I was last in Ireland; managed to meet up with my cousins that I hadn't seen in 17 years the very last day that I was there so in fine Irish style we went for a 'few pints'. When 2am rolled around I decided it was probably time to make my way home given that my flight was at 7am. Alas, no taxis so faced nearly a 10km walk back to my Aunt and Uncle's house which was just in time to change clothes and head to the airport. Plane to London, still not even close to sober and then a 4 hour layover which were some of the most excruciating hours of my life (wanting nothing more in the world than to be able to sleep but not able to or I would miss my flight). Boarded a 13 hour non-stop flight to Tokyo and luckily got the seat right next to flight attendants area so any time I was at any risk of falling asleep someone would walk by and bump me. Arrived in Tokyo, three hour train ride to my brother's place, the flu now starting to take hold and didn't get out of bed until 5 days later.

Last time was when I was working a surgical resident. Started work at 6:30am and spent the entire day from 8am til 4pm in theatre holding people's livers out of the way. Got back to the ward, admitted several patients, finished duties for the 25-30 patients under my care, and finally headed home at about 7:30. Got home, was just starting to put some food together but got a call, back to the hospital. Was the on call surgical resident, major trauma so had to assist in theatre but just for fun the surgeon thought it would be a good idea for me to do my first op as the primary. Completed an ORIF of the tibia while a general surgeon worked on the poor guy's belly and finally got out of theatre at about 4:30am, home by 5:30am, shower and breakfast and back to work for my usual 6:30 start, repeat and recycle of the previous day, home at 8:30pm, having worked myself to the bone for close to 38 hours and not having slept at all.

I fell asleep masturbating, once. Woke up with all of the evidence in clear view. Then, I finished.

Another time, I fell asleep getting out of my car. I woke up and saw a building in front of me and freaked the freak out. I started pounding the brake but the car was already in park.
