Forums - General - Is thw Wii seriously hard to come by???

I have yet to see a Wii in stock anywhere :( I also haven't seen any 360 Elite's that just got launched on Sunday. I also don't see anymore PS3 20gb. I'm in the Jersey area, but I work in Pennsylvania. Things looks similar on both sides of the bridge.

I've seen quite a few Elites, and plenty of normal 360s and PS3s.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

If you're seeing Elites already that doesn't sound too good for Microsoft not that I thought the elite was gonna sell...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Here in Finland it's pretty much the same.

I live in small town also (8500 people), but i have ½ hour trip with car to the two bigger one's,

always when i'm in town to buy games, etc i go see couple supermarkets and gameshop's and there is no Wii's to see almost never. Sometimes i can see them in shelf and sometimes in webstore, but that's it.

Well, this doesn't worry me because i preordered mine at end of May and got it at launch. :p

Nothing's cheaper than something free.

F1 vs FOTA, when too much power is in couple peoples hands.

They're really hard to find in my area (Eastern Canada). I have a feeling I'd want one to except that I bought an N64 and a Gamecube when they came out and ended up being disappointed with both of them compared to the competition at the time so it kind of turned me off from and made me immune from feeling the need to get the latest Nintendo console.

I see PS3 on the shelf and the elite as well

Forget to tell everyone, Im near portland Oregon!!!

I've seen quite a few since launch. My Wii was a struggle to get but the one for my sister was a breeze. I even had two other occasions to contemplate whether or not I should get it for a gift. The truth is that I guess I have good timing because I "know" they move fast. It's not a question. THe times when they remain on the shelf has to do with people not knowing that the consoles are there.

that is very interesting to see that many people wanting to buy a wii. When i bought my wii in february it was only after searching for 3 days. I called every morning and afternoon to every game store nearby. Eventually they came into stock somewhere in the beginning of the week usually sundays, mondays, and tuesdays. What I have found helpful in searching for the wii is asking the store when the last shipment came in. This will not only give you a general idea of what day of the week wii's usually ships to the store, but it will give you a general idea of how frequent the store stocks with wii's and what time they usually recieve the shipments. Some store's recieves wii's at random hours at random days. It is just a matter of keeping track. I do wish you all luck in finding wii's.

Has anyone here bought a Wii and been disappointed or bought one and is currently not playing it or it's collecting dust? Just curious because a friend of mine bought one and I got the impression he was disappointed with it. Kind of like people who who get the thrill of the chase but end up disappointed or bored when they finally get what they were after.
