I don't think it will be successful. Many 360 fans already jumped ship with no intention of coming back. I was a huge 360 fan, biggest anti-Sony and anti-Nintendo fanboy. Now I plan to condemn the XB1.

I could be wrong but it looks like the XBox 360 is on pace to be the second best selling console in US history, after the Playstation 2. Right now it's the Wii, but the 360 is almost assured to overtake it.

I think MS will win the US market again next gen. It wasn't even close between Sony and MS this gen (40+ million 360s vs 24 mill-ish PS3s) .... as long as Microsoft has such brand sway in an important market like America, I can't see them quitting.
