Um, the PSP numbers seem funny.

1654 + 19782 + 5721 = roughly 25357. I know, global includes countries and nations other than the 3 major ones, but did it make 20515 somewhere else? That's quite remarkable.

I think Vgchartz trust Mediacreate over Famitsu due to MC giving out more data. MC gives yearly charts for at least the top 500 while Famitsu I think only does top 100.

Sony consoles always do this, they seem to have a large presence in "unimportant" countries, meaning not in the 3 major regions VGC lists.
