Wii really messed up their hardware philosophy.


if they made just a wii 2 with updated motion controls and hd graphics, they wold have sold it at 250 with profit. It would have done better too, i actually think they went away from the 3ds, wii, ds philosophy

Those are shipment figures vs sales figures. The two don't necessarily correlate and they could both be correct.

Unfortunately, as strongly as they've resisted the notion, they may genuinely believe they don't need to. At the very least, they'd get a little egg on their face if they did.

We have there a proof of a case of overshipping. Multiples times I read that overshipping wasn't possible, but today we finally have an undeniable proof. Because even if it is a flop atm, it is absolutely impossible that on a three months period only 10 k Wii U were sold worldwide excluding Japan and North America.

3DS sales in North America are still weak comparatively, Iwata is probably not happy with that. Japanese 3DS shipments are good though.

Wii U shipments are a disaster, but to be expected. Wow at Europe though, Nintendo's got a tough road to go there.

3DS down for the quarter pretty significantly actually, 1.86 million (2012) versus 1.40 million (2013) for the same quarter.

Not great.

Im really baffled that they dont want to do a price drop, like 50 or 70 dollars is all you need to get peoples interest and drop the white model.

Good to see profit!

Market the wii-u. Internet ads on YouTube is more effective than t.v IMO. They should work on Internet ads less cost more viewers.
