Gamecube lifetime sales are usually given at 21 million, although I can't find the specific (worldwide) sales and the Wii surpassed that figure last week.
Of course, we all knew this would happen but this is a significant milestone in Nintendo's history. The first time a console has outsold its predecessor.. and so early into the generation!

Actually VGChartz says GC ~ 21.5m. And in any case Wii = 20.88m not 21m, so I don't know why you posted this so prematurely.

The graph at the top of the page apparently does not yet include the amounts sold last week.. which has been 240k in America & Others, which would put the Wii total at over 21 million.
(21 million being the approximate number of CGs sold that I've always heard.. again I don't have the actual figures)
Actually it does include them. Though once Japan sales are in you will probably be right(about passing 21 million), but it'll likely be two more weeks until passing GC.
