From what I read/saw is that the game is similar to GoW or Dynasty Warriors type of action, except what people are assuming is QTE is actually more like combo prompts to do killer moves. Basically it looks like a mash 'em up game though.

It's a huge time-frame and the significant events of the Roman era happened at all different times. Though you could, I suppose, do something similar to what Bethesda did with the Fallout Series and have games uses different main characters.
In the vein of what historical era should be better represented, I think the Crusades. So much more went on in the Crusades than what people think or know about. Would love to see it actually well represented. I had hoped Assassin's Creed would of done some justice for it, but nope.

I don't think its similar to Dynasty Warriors at all tbh. In Dynasty Warriors you fight 1000+ enemies per game and can fight 100 at a time, in this game it looks like the max you can fight at a time is around 5... For me one of the things that makes Dynasty Warriors so much fun is feeling like a badass and destroying numerous people, your obviously not gonna get that from this game. As far as GoW, I guess they can somewhat be compared, but I don't think that's the best example.

Yeah totally, my two favourite history time periods is Roman and Medieval. Just some great stories and events, that would be perfect for a game. I mean so many crazy characters :)
Rome Total war is on my list for this year... but it certainly needs more games. If someone can give me $100 million, I will make it :D

Several videos still support these claims, your only looking at one side...Also how am I not interested in the game, did you even read what I said to begin with? I like everything about the game except the gameplay.

Go check the Ryse tread. Actual showfloor gameplay thats faster, and has players completely ignoring the QTE's.
They are optional. And the enemies are confirmed on 30% health during E3 and Comic con.

And they are saying they played the same thing they did at E3. The developers said that the combat will be fully integrated in a later build and people who played it behind closed doors got to play that build.
