Who is saying this? There is a difference between http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superlative and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparative while the second one is especially used considering the PS3.

Not even a link to the Reddit post? What kinda journalism is this?

Not many members think about journalism, which is sad considering, the posters credibility becomes suspect at some point in the future.

Ok guys, first of all, I am legit. If you doubt it, track my pastebin records.
I can't reveal anything with deep knowledge but take it as you wish. I prefer the PS4 because (taking a look at my pay-check) it has the best controller and given the dev-environment basing on Visual Studio that I just got used to while I always was an MS-dev the PS4 is way better because I like them very much and they focus on gaming because MS focusses on money and Sony was always better and stuff. The system is so easy to develop for and everything works out of the box. It is a pleasure to develop for and my wife is finally satisfied since I started programming for PS4 which I do secretly because otherwise I will get fired but Sony gave the devkit to me for free. Sony is the best company there is and noone is as good as they are. Did I mention how easy to develop it is for and how awesome the controller is, especially for fps-games?! No? Then I do it now. Please buy the PS4, please!

its the guy who made the AMA, he is legit, and this thread is bullshit because he is VERY misquoted and they take his words out of context a lot. here is what he actually said

:The facts are on paper, the PS4 has better specs and the most you can debate is by how much. What I can tell you is I have played Forza, Killer instinct, and Ryse on the Xbox One. They look as good as the games I play on a high end PC. Ryse reminded me of darksiders II."

ill be reporting this threat to be locked since its false

Well, there isn't one and it's hard to argue something like this but let me give you some hints:

1. Visual Studio, which PS4-dev-env uses, is made by MS.

2. DirectX, especially Direct3d, the industry-standard for nowadays gaming (heavy graphic wise, no mobile gaming) is made by MS.

3. MS builds dev-tools, compilers and assemblers since "always", Sony doesn't.

4. 360 was extremely easy to develop for and known as easy to port for PC (obviously given MS' roots). Why should this change if they build a custom PC?

I guess for people that play game on paper this could be a big deal.

But for the rest of us that game on video monitors, this is one of the best spins of miss information I have seen since the Vietnam War being justified by people connecting it to 9/11. In other words, ha ha, not it's just sad.

The features you get from the PS4 over X1, really? Just, ha.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

well this is talking about how easy the dev tools of MS are, and not if sony's are better. there have been some impressive stuff like how warframe was ported to the PS3 in a really fast time. i can stuff like that out, but since he said "its already been said" atleast give us a source.

both of them are really easy to develop for, so i dont really care who is "easier" but honestly i would like the source, it would be an interesting read

The thing is: Sony *had* to make it more easy for devs which seems to be not that big of an achievement. MS started already on a very high level. If something is "better" than the other one, devs have to decide, of course. But given that devs already know the MS-tools and are used to it while Sony's approach is newer (which doesn't make it worse) seems to give the thought that MS is still ahead.

Yet I wrote with someone before on GAF (via pm) he said that the *tool-chain* by now Sony is a little bit ahead while MS is a good step ahead of Sony considering the drivers for the system :)
