"The Black Tusk property shown during last year's E3 gaming expo was a "concept piece", according to Microsoft's Phil Spencer."

Seriously, you guys have got to stop thinking they have multiple teams and IPs, you're talking out your backsides. I've already linked you to the page where it disproves they're working on 4 IPS. It was a guy that is overseeing 4 IPS and one of them was Quantum Break.

Now we learn the trailer was a concept piece. They're seriously fucking liars!

There is no other Black Tusk stuff. They were 'working on ideas' and 'concepts'. Now they're working on Gears and only Gears.

Wait, Black Tusk's E3 Stealth Shooter trailer was just a concept piece and not a trailer for an actual game? This announcement which I was excited for last night has turned bad real quick.

Yup. Disgusting imo, making it out to be a game ... just

So the big news was the acquisition of the Gears IP. I guess that Forza Horizon 2 has to wait for GDC or E3.

  1. Amazing news! Does Black Tusk still have several projects in development? That Stealth "IP" you mentioned is it dead?

  2. We aren't talking about other projects right now, today is a Gears day.

  1. I care a lot about new franchises, we have announced new IP and we have unannounced new IP.

Read the article I linked, they were only working on ideas/concepts. And he makes it clear the studios is focussing on Gears in his other tweets.

  1. Bittersweet day. I'm happy about Gears, but I'm disappointed that BlackTusk doesnt work on a new ActionAdventure IP.

  2. They're working on a new IP still. Sounds like there are two teams there.

  3. Did they clear it up? Because it didn't sound like they had more going on in the polygon(?) interview.

  4. You can imagine with something as big as Gears there is a lot for them to get their head around.

  5. So does that mean the new IP you showed a teaser of at E3 is still being made, or not?

Was still posting ^^^ XD

From the sounds of it, nothing is canceled, they will still be making a new ip but their main focus as of this moment is now gears.  Their other stuff is being put on hold.

I've been looking through some tweets and it looks like Black Tusk's new IP was postponed, not cancelled. However, it's still likely a death sentence for the new IP, what are the chances of Microsoft letting Black Tusk take a break from Gears, are near guaranteed high seller, to develop a new high budget IP that is a big financial risk?

They won't let Gears go on a 4 - 6 year hiatus. I think there is some wishful thinking going on with Black Tusk tbh.
