As for Hololens...£300 seems like my top end amount.

I don't know, I really like HoloLens for creative stuff and maybe people in different industries will work with it but for games I would prefer something like Oculus. What exactly will HoloLens bring us gamers? We will see something in our environment? But I want to feel as if I would be in a different world and not look at my wall or table at home and see something on that.

Well, that's what I got as impression from HoloLens, no idea how that is better for games as to use a VR headset like Oculus which will let us see only what's in-game and let us be part of this virtually created world.

Really have to see more of it but right it feels to me as if HoloLens will bring a virtual world in your environment  (or only some effects around your screen you will look at) and "normal" VR will bring you in that virtual world to be part of it.
