Similar, but there are some definite differences. The class loadouts are redesigned a bit and there are some new gametypes. The biggest difference is of course the lack of military vehicles, personally I feel that's a positive difference; tanks, jets, and attack helicopters always seemed overpowered in BF4 to me, and it was hard to actually get in one because the player counts are so large that somebody is always respawning, so the vehicles are gone almost immediately since you could spawn straight into vehicles. Also because of the lack of miltitary vehicles, the maps don't get blown up anywhere near as badly, that was something I always hated about BF4, the map was always so blown up by the end of a game that there was no cover. Battlefield Hardline just seems more laid back and casual to me, whereas BF4 was a fairly hardcore experience imo. I especially enjoy the Hotwire gametype, it reminds me of Halo custom games I used to play where everybody drove around in Warthogs, and there is even music playing on the radio in the cars. Hopefully Star Wars Battlefront will be more similar to the original SW Battlefront games and Battlefield Hardline than it is to Battlefield 4, I don't want it to be a hardcore, often un-fun experience. |
Pretty good description. This is like comparing need for speed to gran turismo. Personally I love bf4 and after playing the beta I think I'll really like hardline. One thing though. It's giving me a massive itch for gta heists and payday 3.

I got payday 2 off playstation plus. I was hooked for months. It should be a really cheap download. If your budget is tight, and you are not short on time I advise you get payday 2. Really fun online 4 player co-op. Getting all the achievements is actually a massive achievement and it's one of my proudest platinums.
Second assault DLC is/was free for outside EA access aswell.
Also the guy who was wondering if Pier Solar HD is good... it is pretty fun, I am enjoying it :).
