Wow, SOE thread has like 200 comments. I really dont think its that big of news. I havent read through it and dont want to tbh. But i mean yeah, theyre multiplat now and that is good for Xbox gamers, but i honestly dont think PlayStation lost anything either considering SOE has been PC throughout all these years. Im not sure what there is to argue about on this one

Fully agree with this and what I was trying to point out to 4 or 5 users. I got labelled as being defensive to sony just because I'm a fan of them. Glad to see the empire leader shares the same view. It's positive news for Xbox gamers and nothing else.  Sony get a big upfront payment and microsoft software revenue Increases.

After playing Child of light I'm giving even more value to voice acting, for portable games it still works, but for home consoles it just feels lacking without voices.

Did Child of Light have voice acting?

That's the point, nope.

But it has voiced narration, which is the best part of the game.

I actually think SOE would become important to ps this gen.

In the generation where online gaming is becoming even more integrated, sony lost a good chance.

They didn't lose anything they had before, they lost the potential.

Agreed! Which is kinda off topic, but is why LoZ needs it the most IMO. I can deal with a silent protagonist, but it's 2015, voice acting on consoles need to be a thing. It helps with the imersion factor. Just my two cents.

Note: LoZ was used as an example....

I don't like how a lot Sony fans I've seen are acting like no one cared about the games that SOE was making. Especially seeing as how I saw a lot of ps fans used those games to brag about Playstation exclusive line up.

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

That's true. I used to read a lot about some of those games so clearly people cared. Although for me, I don't really care about any of those games

Considering they chose to sell it I don't believe they are losing anything.  They know better than us. Releasing 2 year old pc ports to ps4 of pc centric games was never going to shift ps4s. Sony from this sale might make more profit than they ever would if they held on and on top of that they will still make the software revenue from the games releasing on playstation.

It's no  different to people who previously said they didnt matter and are now saying it's a big loss to ps4. The reality is the only thing ps4 is losing is console exclusivity to a games that would not have shifted many ps4s.

It's not like everything sony does is right, or they woudn't be like they are (bleeding money).

They could just be on the need of quick cash to make their annual report look less terrible.

I highly doubt they just needed quick Cash. Sony have many investmeinvestments that they sell all the time.  I'd say they were made an offer that they couldn't refuse.  They know this won't hamper their real gaming money maker which is the ps4.
