It's been awhile since I looked at Xbox One's software chart here on VGC. Xbox One now has 4 games that have sold over 2 million, and 13 games that have sold over 1 million, plus there are an additional 2 games that have a strong chance of selling over 1m by the end of the year.

Xbox One is doing very well on the software side of things imo, 3.58 retail games per console so far, very impressive considering how much more popular digital is this gen than last gen.

This doesn't include the week of the 29th globally.

Pretty sure ACU is over 1m now. Maybe even Ryse.

I'm most impressed by Xbox One's software attach rate,4.04 games per console so far. The original Xbox and Xbox 360 are #1 and #2 in terms of software attach rate overall, and it looks like Xbox One could be the #1 console this gen in software attach rate, Wii U is currently #1 but Xbox One has been gaining on it, the fact that Xbox One gets multiplats which Wii U doesn't could very likely push Xbox One into the #1 spot this gen. At the end of this generation Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One could be #1-#3 in software attach rate.

A fact that I've been trying to tell people for so long.

And probably the reason why MS stucks mostly to UK and US. High profitability in those 2 markets.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that's the case as well about Live subs and marketplace transactions.

Where does this " a new Street Fighter would never release without Sony but Tomb Raider would release without MS" attitude come from now?

If it's true that Capcom is so broke that they can't even effort to work on a relatively cheap game compared to the expected sales, it would also mean that pretty much all their other big games couldn't be done without Sony/Nintendo/MS paying for them but I kinda doubt that they are really that broke and I can't really believe that we wouldn't see a SF5 without Sony.

I remember Ono saying that he'd like to make a SFV but didn't have the budget. So this was more like a Bayo situation.

Hey guys, I'm just messaging to say that I jumped on one of the X1 deals during cyber Monday. I know most of you won't remember me since I haven't been active on the forums for over a year but for those of you who know me you can expect to see me on MCC in the next few weeks, once I finish my finals.

If anyone has any suggestions on games I would appreciate it. School has kept me away from the gaming scene for a long time.

I don't know, it just doesn't make any sense. How don't they have money for a probably very profitable franchise? That's my point, if they can't fund games which should be very profitable they are really fucked and then they could normally not fund anything anymore so that many other Capcom games will be exclusive as well the next years.

And if they can still fund most games by their own, why can't they fund SF?

Yeah, it's completely silly. Capcom has said that they'd finance sequels to games that sold over 2m and SF4 sold way over 2m, SF5 would have happened regardless I think. Tomb Raider on the other hand took nearly a year to make back it's budget, had it not been for the next-gen ports it wouldn't have made back it's budget at all probably, so RotTR's existence was far more in question imo. Had it not been for the fact that MS paid for it's marketing rights (and later paid for exclusivity rights), I'm honestly not sure if a sequel would have been made. Just look at Sleeping Dogs, another Square Enix published game, it also struggled to make back it's budget and instead of a full budget sequel it's only getting a reduced budget spin-off.

Ono said in 2013 he didn't have the budget or staff to make Street Fighter V.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Potentially popular 3rd party games that are rumored to be in development, 1 of which MS should try to get exclusively on Xbox One in order to counter SF5:

-Fallout 4
-Red Dead 3
-Bully 2
-Epic's game based on Samaritan tech demo
-Bioware's rumored Star Wars game

Can you guys think of any others?

Time to open that checkbook Phil.

Fallout 4, Red Dead 3, and Bully 2 would be preferable choices imo.

Forza Horizon 2. It's not to serious but extremely fun. Dead Rising which is past 1M oh yea. Sunset Overdrive and Killer Instinct which is the reason to own Xbox imo.

Also I'm accepting any challengers in Killer Instinct. I'll be off all day 2mor if anyone wants to be beaten.
